Recipe: Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

During the holiday season it seems that there is always friends, neighbors and family that drop in for a visit. On especially cold days it is fun to whip up a quick warm chocolate baked dessert. Hot Fudge Pudding Cake is always a crowd pleaser and is best served with warm topped with vanilla ice cream.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl sift together:

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup sugar
2 Tablespoon cocoa

Stir in:

½ cup milk
2 Tablespoon melted butter

Spread the batter in the bottom of a 9-inch square pan.

Sprinkle on top of the batter a mixture of:
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
¼ cup cocoa

Pour 1 ¾ cups of hot water over entire batter and brown sugar-cocoa mixture.
